First Responders Horse Handling Training Event planned for August 30, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center is hosting a training event for First Responders to become more familiar with handling horses in an emergency situation.

Horse behavior, basic terminology, horse body language and the basics of horse handling will be reviewed. Hands-on opportunities for First Responders to halter and lead the horses will be offered.

"In light of a recent occurrence in our area in which the bravery of local officers helped save a horse from a large barn fire, Ivy Hill realized how valuable basic knowledge of horse handling and behavior could be to local First Responders. We are so appreciative of our First Responders and are grateful for the opportunity to help them while also helping horses." said Instructor, Janna Pitak.
